A selection of key podcasts I’ve worked on

To date, I’ve executive produced four seasons of investigative, narrative journalism under the Secrets We Keep masthead.

  • Shame, Lies & Family: A mystery photo of Amelia Oberhardt’s mum exposes the practice of shotgun marriages, forced adoption, and quiet abortions carried out in Australia until the 1980s.

  • Nest of Traitors: Joey Watson is pulled into the world of espionage, attempting to track down an Australian spy who turned to work for the enemy during the Cold War.

  • Baghdad Nights: Richard Baker takes you inside Australia's biggest corruption scandal, finding out how Australia funded a dictator in the lead up to the Iraq War.

  • By Any Means: An investigation into the modern fertility landscape, confronting complex questions about consent, identity and human rights.

A series by Guardian Australia about the defamation trial brought by Ben Roberts-Smith. Roberts-Smith, Australia’s most decorated living soldier, sued three of the country’s most respected newspapers for defamation over articles he says falsely accuse him of war crimes. As the supervising producer, I was responsible for managing the project and collaborating with the producers and presenter to make each episode.

As supervising producer for Guardian Australia’s news podcast, Full Story, I was involved in story selection, structuring each episode, editing and interviewing guests and overseeing the final product to publication. I also reported my own stories. A few episodes I’m proud of: the escape of the Afghan women’s football team, can a pain machine create empathy? and a woman, a bike, an impossible goal?
